Overview

The International Peace Support Training Centre’s library is located at the main campus along Westwood Park Road in Karen, Nairobi. Our mission is to provide relevant academic and information resources for research to all our clients. It falls under the Department of Peace and Security Research Department (PSRD) and is located on the 1st floor of the Research and Simulation Complex building, at IPSTC Karen.

Information Resources

IPSTC library has a collection of over 3,000 books. The library also stocks periodicals of IPSTC research products in the category of Issue Briefs, Occasional Papers, Africa Amani Journals and Peace Builders Newsletters. The library has several assorted Books, Pamphlets and IPSTC Research Products, Journals, UN blue helmet manuals, magazines, and Course materials in soft copy covering thematic areas such as Conflict Prevention, Conflict Management, Post Conflict Recovery, Pre-deployment Training, International Security, Preventive Diplomacy, Media and Politics, Gender and Governance, Law of Armed Conflict, Humanitarian Coordination, International Relations, Human/Children Rights and General Management.

In addition to the print collections, the library, through NDU-K subscribes to Kenya Library and Information Services Consortium (KLISC) for electronic databases containing journals and e-books relevant to academic courses offered in this college.
